Web Accessibility Statement
Team-E Consultancy is committed to providing an accessible web experience so that everyone — including older adults and people with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities — can use the information and services on this site without barriers.
1 · Conformance standards
This site is designed, built and audited against:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, W3C)
- The OGCIO Web Accessibility Charter and Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme criteria (Hong Kong Government)
- Automated pa11y CI on every pull request (threshold 0, AA), supplemented by axe-core / Lighthouse manual checks
2 · Accessibility features
- Full keyboard operation — every interactive element (links, buttons, forms, dialogs) responds to Tab / Enter / Esc
- Skip-to-content link — the first focusable element on every page, lets keyboard and screen-reader users bypass the navigation
- Semantic HTML5 + ARIA — `<main>` / `<nav aria-label>` / `<section>` landmarks are explicit and unique
- Image alt text — every meaningful image carries a descriptive alt; decorative images are marked `alt=""` so assistive tech can skip them
- Honours reduced-motion preference — `prefers-reduced-motion: reduce` disables scroll-fade animations and decorative transitions
- Text resizable up to 200% with no loss of content — rem-based sizing + responsive layout survive browser zoom
- Colour contrast ≥ 4.5:1 (AA) — body, buttons and captions all clear AA; state is conveyed via structure + labels, never colour alone
- Three languages — Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English — declared via `lang` so screen readers pronounce correctly
3 · Text-resize guidance for older adults and low-vision users
The site uses responsive layout that scales smoothly up to 200% via browser zoom or OS-level settings. Content, navigation and functionality stay intact throughout. Common shortcuts:
Browser zoom shortcuts
- Windows / Linux
- Ctrl + + (zoom in) / Ctrl + − (zoom out) / Ctrl + 0 (reset)
- Mac
- ⌘ + + (zoom in) / ⌘ + − (zoom out) / ⌘ + 0 (reset)
- Mobile
- Pinch-out to zoom; or increase text size via OS Accessibility settings
High-contrast mode
The site is designed with high default contrast (black ≈ 17:1, body text ≈ 9:1 on paper background) and respects OS high-contrast modes. On Windows press Alt + Shift + Print Screen to toggle High Contrast; on Mac enable Increase Contrast via System Settings → Accessibility → Display.
